All of our events are available at both full and concessionary rates. Concessionary prices are available to Friends of the Ashmolean, under-18s and 65-and-over, students, job-seekers and registered disabled.

 

Once an event is sold out it will still be listed, but showing as out of stock.

With Professor Mark Pollard, University of Oxford. Our understanding of ancient Persian metalwork was significantly expanded by the work of Roger Moorey. In this, the ninth memorial lecture, Professor Mark Pollard will explore the latest research in the metallurgy of Bronze Age Iran as well as the work to refine the chronologies of cultures of the Iranian Central Plateau.

This two-day workshop will show you how to make an enamelled silver pendant. On day-1 you will study Anglo-Saxon jewellery in the Museum’s study collections. On day-2 you will design and make your own pendant using facilities at Oxford’s St Edward’s School to fire a vitreous enamel decoration.
