Description

The Bountiful Sea conference will gather archaeologists, scientists, cooks, and classical scholars to discuss new evidence for fish exploitation and new perspectives on the manufacture, transport, and consumption of fish-based products in Mediterranean antiquity.

CALL FOR POSTERS
The Bountiful Sea welcomes posters on all aspects of fishing, fish processing and fish consumption, as well as on related marine industries and inland fish production. The deadline for poster titles and abstracts is 5 May.  Please send these direct to dmylona@hotmail.com.

REGISTRATION
There are two registration options:

  1. registration for the full 3-day academic and culinary programme: keynote lecture, Roman tasting dinner, academic sessions, fish sauce demonstrations/tastings and evening receptions (Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 September)

    or

  2. registration for only the opening evening keynote lecture and Roman tasting dinner (Wednesday 6 September).
