Events

This year the Oxford Vaccine Group are turning 30 and, to mark this milestone, we would be delighted to invite you to join Prof. Sir Andrew Pollard and the rest of OVG to celebrate on 26th-27th September 2024 in central Oxford. The details of the events are below: 

Thursday 26th September – Drinks Reception and Dinner at Keble College, 6.00-9.30pm

Friday 27th September – OVG30 Symposium at Trinity College, 9.00am-4.00pm (registration from 08.30am). 

The programme for the OVG30 Symposium will cover the scientific developments and impact of OVG's work over the past 3 decades through the insights of a selection of current investigators and alumni. Highlights will include novel observations on immunity to bacterial and viral pathogens (including coinfection of RSV and bacteria), epidemiology of pneumococcal disease and enteric fever, and OVGs contributions to development and global policy on meningococcal, pneumococcal, and typhoid vaccines. The programme will also showcase our work on outbreak pathogens and clinical development of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID19 vaccine.

We do of course hope that you will be able to attend both events but you are equally very welcome to sign-up to either of the events separately, dependent on your availability. Please only select one ticket option below to add to basket. 

We also appreciate that many will be travelling internationally in order to attend the events. Please refer to this section on the subsequent sign-up page to discuss with us.

If you are unable to travel to Oxford but would still like to join us for our Symposium online, please select the 'Virtual' ticket option. A joining link will be sent in advance of the event.
