Gazette advertisement - private advertisers

Description

Purchase advertising space in the University of Oxford Gazette if you are a private advertiser.

Am I in the right place?

Private advertisers are those who are not making taxable income from responses to their advertisement.

Examples of private adverts:

  • Selling your own possessions (eg unwanted furniture, cars, books)
  • Selling your current home in order to buy a new one
  • Renting out your own home while you're away for a short period
  • Renting a room in your own house to a lodger or paying guest
  • Seeking a service, such as tutoring or a home help, for your own benefit
  • Seeking to buy items for your own use (eg buying books for your own collection or a car to drive yourself)

If none of these apply to you, you are probably a commercial advertiser. Click here to go to the online shop for commercial advertisers instead.

How much does it cost?

For £20 you can have a 70-word advert in the Gazette.

Options

  1. £10: a 70-word advert in the online edition only
  2. £40: a 150-word advert in one issue
  3. Free: a small picture accompanying your advert - this applies to the online Gazette only (no pictures or colours are possible in the print Gazette).

Instructions - please read before proceeding

1) Decide how many words your advert will need - words are usually separated by a space or a slash: standard adverts are up to 70 words, and the absolute maximum number of words is 150.

2) In the corresponding row to your preferred number of words, click the plus sign to add more than 1 insertion of the advert.

4) Click 'Add to Basket' in that row. You will tell us your advert text on the next page, along with your preferred publication date (if any).
