Degree Confirmation Letter

Description

You can request digital degree confirmation letters free of charge if you have either passed your examinations and have not had your degree conferred at a degree ceremony, or if you have attended a ceremony but require proof of your award to present to a third party. Please note that this letter cannot be issued to you if you have not completed your course.

If you have just received your results, you do not need to order. A letter will be issued for you within a week of receiving the results in most cases. Please only contact [email protected] if you do not hear from us after a week has passed.

If you hold multiple degrees from the University of Oxford, please place one order for your most recent degree and we will issue all letters for which you are eligible. This includes the Oxford MA, if it has already been conferred, for orders placed after 1 March 2021. If you received a digital degree confirmation letter for your BA before this date and would now like the MA letter, please place a new order.

Orders through the online shop can take up to 21 working days to process.

Please note that this is not an automated process and you will not receive your letter instantly.

Please contact us using [email protected] if you have any queries.

Research/DPhil students: In order to obtain a degree confirmation letter for a research degree, you are required to submit an electronic copy of your thesis before your letter may be produced. Please note that it can take a number of working days for submissions to ORA to be processed. The requirement for the submission of a hardcopy has been temporarily suspended. Previous guidance stating that this should be submitted in early 2021 has been revoked. If you have not yet submitted the hardbound copy of your thesis, you should wait for further advice. If you commenced your research degree prior to October 2007, you are not required to submit an electronic copy of your thesis.

Option 1 - Electronic/scanned letter only
