CUDA Programming on NVIDIA GPUs, July 22–26, 2024DescriptionThis is a 5-day hands-on course for students, postdocs, academics and others who want to learn how to develop applications to run on NVIDIA GPUs using the CUDA programming environment. All that will be assumed is some proficiency with C and basic C++ programming. No prior experience with parallel computing will be assumed. The course consists of approximately 3 hours of lectures and 4 hours of practicals each day. Firedrake 2024DescriptionThe eighth Firedrake user and developer workshop will be held at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford from 16-18 September 2024. The workshop will be an opportunity for Firedrake users and developers to discuss the latest developments in the project, anticipated future developments, and how Firedrake can be used in the numerical solution of partial differential equations. The event will provide Firedrake users with the opportunity to interact directly with developers and with other users. Registration includes a conference dinner at Corpus Christi college, Oxford. Accommodation (if purchased) will be at Oriel College, Oxford for 2 nights (16 and 17 September).
