McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics and Public Life Annual Conference 2025: Christian Humanism and the Black Atlantic

The conference examines theological concepts of the human, how these are articulated through Christian humanism within the context of what Paul Gilroy calls the "Black Atlantic." The conference will open with the annual McDonald Public Lecture being given by Paul Gilroy.

Doors open at 5pm. (Please ensure you are seated by 5.20pm).

Entrance to Pusey House is from St Giles, Oxford, OX1 3LZ.

There will be a drinks reception from 7.15pm - 8.00pm in the St Cross quod which is just beside the lecture hall.

Please note a separate booking is required for the conference on 6th and 7th June.
