2nd Anatolian Languages and Linguistics Summer School

Description

The second Anatolian Languages and Linguistics Summer School will be held at the Faculty of Classics on 22-26 June 2026. The summer school will consist of four modules, taught by specialists in the field:

1. Anatolian and Indo-European – Prof. Jay Jasanoff (Harvard) and Prof. Antony Yates (UCLA)

2. Cuneiform Luwian – Prof. Petra Goedegebuure (Chicago)

3. The Hittites: Texts and Contexts – Dr. Mark Weeden (UCL)

4. Anatolian texts in contexts: lectures and workshops  – (various lecturers)

IV Catalan Linguistics at Oxford (CLOx26)

Description

The IV Catalan Linguistics at Oxford Day - CLOx26 is a one-day conference, which will bring together researchers in the linguistics of Catalan to discuss their research and encourage collaboration amongst all those working on this language, in a friendly and productive atmosphere. The meeting will be held in the historic Taylor Institution Library.

Our invited speaker this year is Dr. Jaume Mateu (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), a key figure in the syntax-semantics of Catalan. The topic of CLOx26 is syntax and its interfaces.
