The first stop will be the historic city of Winchester, where students might like to visit Winchester Cathedral, the City Museum, the remains of Wolvesey Castle (Old Bishop's Palace); follow a self-guided walk or trail; browse Winchester's street market, as well its independent shops and artisan retailers. The excursion will also include a visit to Chawton, a nearby village which is famous as the literary home of Jane Austen and rich in Austen-related sites. Please note that the price of £30 is for the coach only: any other costs (admission fees, food and drink, etc) are the student’s responsibility.
