DescriptionMany innovations in healthcare have the potential to vastly improve health outcomes, make healthcare more efficient and contribute to the global knowledge economy. However, innovations may also have downsides including limited uptake, failures of scale-up or sustainability, increases in inequities, and unanticipated inefficiencies. Building on the successful MSc in Translational Health Sciences at the University of Oxford, this 3-day Summer Academy explores the social science of healthcare innovation. It brings together faculty, alumni, current and prospective students to explore an interdisciplinary approach to addressing health challenges globally. The programme is designed for professionals, academics and industry leaders and focuses on healthcare innovations such as: - Biotechnology The programme has been developed by MSc Leads, Professor Trisha Greenhalgh, Dr Anne Ferrey and Dr Rachna Begh in liaison with our alumni.
