The biennial Medieval Insular Romance Conference brings together leading scholars and students in the field of medieval romance for discussion and debate. The 2026 conference is organized by Prof. Nicholas Perkins and Dr Lucy Brookes, and will be held at St Hugh's College, Oxford.
Founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth, the great niece of the poet, St Hugh's is now one of the largest Oxford colleges, and also boasts some of Oxford's largest college grounds.
